Richard was born and raised in Yorkshire. He started his career in 1990 at Provincial Insurance at their Leeds office where he gained valuable experience in a number of roles, but he found his niche in the commercial liability department investigating claims.  His aptitude in this field led to him joining Cunningham Hart in 1994 as a Liability Adjuster.  

In 1996 he took up a similar appointment at Garwyn’s Harrogate office where he spent the next six years dealing with a varied and extensive caseload.  In 2002 he moved to SLS, initially at their Leeds office. He subsequently transferred to London and the South East where he was appointed to develop and manage the company’s profile in the region leading to the establishment of the highly successful SLS office in Guildford, Surrey. 

Having in excess of 25 years experience in the industry, Richard has conducted many difficult and complex investigations and he has a deep appreciation of the needs of Clients. His professionalism, competence, specialist skills and thoroughness in reporting are highly respected and he enjoys excellent client relations.
